Crafting Wood Art: My Creative Process

I love working with wood. I also love the colorful and meaningful fabrics from Ghana. Over time, I started combining them in my art. The deep, polished wood and the bold fabric patterns create a beautiful contrast.   Why I Started I wanted to try something new. Wood has a natural beauty, and African prints have rich designs. Putting them together felt like the right choice. Each fabric has a meaning, and the wood brings out its beauty even more. My First Piece: The DripThis was my first sculpture. I wanted to create something smooth and flowing. Seeing the wood grain shine through made me love working with wood even more. Adding African FabricThis is when I started mixing fabric with wood. The deep colors and patterns stand out against the wood, making each piece unique. I love the quality and intricacy of the fabric and I personally love to use wood. I find that the contrast is very striking. Exploring and Improving As I kept creating, I started carving more detailed shapes.
